Dead by Daylight

news 72 0

Dead by Daylight's huge growth will continue unabated in the future, with the game's recent mobile edition reaching over 200 million players. While the developer is now making clear that Dead by Daylight's new mobile port is based on the game's current build, it has also made it clear that the game's massive growth will also follow a few tweaks.

With the mobile version of Dead by Daylight already confirmed, it is likely that it will continue to expand in the future, with the likes of multiple new killers, maps, and killer character characters likely being key features of the game moving forward. There are currently no confirmed plans for new maps or killers to make their way into Dead by Daylight, so fans can only speculate as to what that might entail.

The most obvious change that Dead by Daylight should make is its recently released mobile version. The game was previously a free to play title, which is still heavily dependent on being a relatively new game. While Behaviour Interactive has stated that the game will remain free to play for players who have purchased the game, Behaviour Interactive's decision to make it free to play is a questionable one, as it leaves many who didn't already purchase the game confused about whether they should pick up the title for the free or not.

For those who are not aware, Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer horror game that has grown in popularity recently. At the time of writing, it's worth pointing out that Behaviour Interactive has yet to reveal any content coming to the game, so it's entirely possible that the free-to-play title will be updated soon or this may change. However, while it's still in early access, the mobile release may still have some significant content that fans are interested in.

Dead by Daylight

Firstly, it is worth noting that it is worth mentioning that Behaviour Interactive's recent announcement of Daylight's sequel might be hinting at more Dead by Daylight content. Considering that Behaviour Interactive has already confirmed that it is working on a sequel to Daylight, it is safe to say that this information will likely come as a disappointment to many fans. Additionally, Daylight has also been advertised as an expansion to the game, so there's quite a bit that can be inferred from the description of this.

As such, it's important to note that it is currently unconfirmed what Daylight 2's upcoming content will be, though the leak suggests that it will be a survival horror game, similar to the likes of Dead by Daylight. This would not be an issue for players, though, and it is likely that Behaviour Interactive's game will offer something similar.

As previously mentioned, it is worth noting that this leak doesn't have an official confirmation, but the Daylight 2 rumors are largely credible and reliable. Given that Daylight 2 was featured in the recent PlayStation State of Play presentation, it wouldn't be surprising to see the game making an appearance at this year's E3. For the uninitiated, a Daylight 2 game is currently in development by the same team as Daylight.

The game has been in development for at least a year, and it has been in the works for quite some time. That's not to say that Daylight 2 has been in development for too long, though it does not appear to have even begun pre-production. Earlier this year, Daylight developer Red Candle Games launched Evil Genius 2: World Domination, a multiplayer game inspired by Diablo.

Besides the Evil Genius 2 rumors, we do know that Evil Genius 2 will feature some kind of cross-platform play between PC and Xbox One. After all, Evil Genius 2 is developed by the same team that developed Cities: Skylines, and it will have cross-play between the platforms. This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, as Cities: Skylines earned a respectable aggregate score of 89 on Metacritic, so it seems unlikely that Evil Genius 2 will be the recipient of such widespread praise.

However, this doesn't mean that Evil Genius 2 isn't coming to PC. Red Candle Games is working on a "whole new" Outlast game for Xbox Series X/S, which will presumably also be available on Xbox Game Pass. If true, it would mark the first time that Outlast has been ported to a console. But just imagine if the game were made to work on more platforms than just PC, which would be a great way to make the game's PC port shine.

For years, PC gaming has been considered a platform for families to play together, whether that be in the form of some video games, social games, or all-encompassing multiplayer games.
