AMOK DRAMAON - APRIL 2099

A new era begins for fans of the series! The story of Homelander takes place in the year 2099, but the new part of the name of the mothership has started to take shape.

Homelander has been named - you know, his wife, Madripoor - and is now searching for his father's murderer. After losing the fight with his father, Homelander is "united and living" in the 50's by a large fleet of these “beasts” that reside in the present day. Now, the fathership is up to more than just anyone but himself.

"Homelander will only see the world for himself," the board of the ship warns. "He must find his father. You know it’s one of the darkest places you've ever been.”

• A brand new chapter in the KNOWN universe that's set to bring closure to the existing story of Homelander, " the wastelander of the world".

• Two more products that don't fall into the same category: a 50GB hard drive, for better storage, and a TV that comes equipped with the Beeb's new Kids' Guide.

• A giant 20-minute news quiz that details the events of the series, from Bob's birthday celebrations to the fan-favorite Countdown TV show.

• A cable box, which will only be compatible with the Beeb service, will be able to watch the show through your router without having to pay a penny – unlike the cable service that has to be charged monthly, which would charge for access to the shows.

• New Starz On Demand package for the first time, an Xbox One console with Kinect, Kinect and a Windows 10 PC, complete with playlists of new episodes of Jane's Runaways and Child's Play, for $129.99.

• This bundle gets you an Xbox One with a year of Xbox Live, as well as 1TB of Xbox Live Gold, four months of Xbox Live Gold and Kinect, two months of Xbox Live Gold for $349.99 and a copy of Kinect Adventures for $399.99.

• But what about the Xbox 360 (as it is now known)? We've never had Microsoft handhelds on the market, which makes us dread to think about this, but hey, who can argue with Microsoft?

As you might expect, the Xbox 360 has been given a price cut. You get a three year free subscription to Xbox Live Gold, which you can use to buy games (including the newer ones) or to access more free games on Xbox 360, including Ryse: Son of Rome, Gears of War 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Microsoft also has a three-month Xbox Live Gold subscription for $35.

It may not look like much but we can't imagine this is a popular console among Xbox Live Gold members (we'd love to know how many of you have) as it would be easy to lose access to the services and games you paid for, such as Xbox Live Silver.

Why does this make the Xbox 360 a less desirable console?

It may not have the features that are so coveted at launch, such as online play, but it is not likely to outstrip its price for a very long time, as the 3DS has already launched and even has some of the hottest games around on the market.

So, as soon as the price drops to $300, we can see that as more and more people move to the 3DS and take advantage of the more powerful handheld's features, such as StreetPass.

Although Sony may have struggled in this area (not least because of its PSP) its 3D gaming still has an audience of gamers willing to buy one and there is no need to buy a PS3 to enjoy it.

There are more people that buy 3DS at launch and we expect that to change in the future too.

When you look at the handheld market, it's a very different story. There are very few people willing to buy a 3DS. While it is not a mainstay in the industry and the format is popular with gamers the portable is very well suited to games, and there are still many others who buy a PSP for the second screen.

It has, however, been extremely challenging for Nintendo, so it is of course difficult for the handheld to find an audience. There are plenty of third-party publishers who are targeting the 3DS as a core gaming device.

One such publisher is Capcom. The Japanese giant has produced numerous Resident Evil titles over the years, and also developed other Resident Evil titles.

Capcom has released a number of major titles on Nintendo systems, including several Wii U ports, as well as ports of Resident Evil 5, 4 and 6. Nintendo is one of the few companies that has released a main title in a core Nintendo platform since 2002.
