If you’re an avid Android user, there are plenty of reasons why you should buy a phone that fits the bill.

And, because Google’s great Android OS is already great, you might as well watch out for the relatively generic.XA: Samsung’s phone or the Motorola Edge: Google’s Android operating system for mobile phones.

Like all mobile phones, Android features thousands of customised settings, but that’s just part of the fun. It might not be as deep as Android’s UI, but it offers a good balance of choice, and there are some impressive options for first-time users.

In short, Android One is well worth considering. Its design is sleek and functional, and offers plenty of ways to customise your phone, but Android One is really a collection of alternative, everyday, and business phone extras.

You may have noticed that you can’t connect to Wi-Fi networks with the Google-made Android One app, so you’ll need to install the official version.

The download doesn’t require you to install the app itself, but in a first-time user, you’ll have to make do with the theme or the lock screen. To get started, head over to Settings > Backup & Data > Android One and enter your device’s password.

You’ll be prompted to choose your Android One app location in your lock screen, and once the lock screen is activated, you’ll be told what it is you want to do with it.

This can be pretty frustrating if you’re unsure where to put your lock screen. That’s because Android One requires you to install a separate app, and it’s pretty annoying.

Google does include a few ways of letting you set up your lock screen, but it’s not very sophisticated. The simplest way is to connect your phone to your PC via Bluetooth, and tap the lock screen icon in the bottom left.

If your phone’s icon is greyed out, and you don’t have a good connection, then you’ll be presented with the Android One app icon which you can connect to the phone. To connect your phone, press and hold the power button and then tap on the icon.

This will take you to a new app icon with a design like a pastel, giving you some idea of what it is.

To enable this, press and hold the power button. You’ll see an icon with the number ‘828’ next to it, and you can use that to choose which apps you’d like to see in the lock screen.

This might sound like a good idea, but we’ve seen others such as Siri do things similar, or have the same functions as you.

Some apps, such as Gmail and Microsoft Teams, aren’t open by default, but if you don’t know what you’re doing then you can open a new window with a tap of the home button.

You can use the lock screen to open a chat window with someone who’s been recently blocked, or you can also enable the feature for you by typing: ‘Stop Chat’ and ‘Clear Chat’.

In Gmail, the most commonly used message function is its snipping feature, which allows you to copy and paste multiple messages with one click. In Microsoft Teams, you’ll need to type the address of the recipient in question into the address bar at the bottom of the screen, to see the current message.

This will then be displayed as a checkbox, and if the message doesn’t have one of these, you can click on the address bar to see it.
