Anima: Gate of Memories is an action adventure game set in a world partly influenced by classical Japanese tales of the Seven Deadly Sins. The story spans the ages in a fantasy world wherein humankind has been divided into two groups: the heavenlyic force of heaven and the godlike elemental force of entropy. The conflict between heaven and entropy is on the verge of war, and as a result, you are responsible for your actions as you do battle for the fate of mankind. The game has undergone several changes since its initial announcement in 2003. The original vision of Anima: Gate of Memories had a striking and colorful cel-shaded look that seemed to give the game a strong aesthetic. Now, the game has undergone several visual upgrades, many of which will be reflected in the final product. We recently spent some time with a work-in-progress version of the game to see how the final game has been coming together.

The game begins with you and a small band of soldiers who find themselves trapped in the land of Yen. As you can imagine, the darkness is brought about by a war between two groups. The forces of entropy are a nice mix of humans and magic and have always been allied with one another. The story is told through traditional Japanese text and scenes and primarily in cutscenes. The characters' speech in the game is especially good, which was evident by how well the dialogue has translated to English. The game's musical score is also similar to that of the original Nihon Falcom.

The gameplay in Acid Nerve is quite a bit different from its predecessor.

In addition to the story, Acid Nerve has added some new features, which will let you alter your character's levels as you progress. The game will feature a total of 15 modes in the game, and they can all be accessed with a simple switch. You can tweak one of the game's levels to your liking. The versus mode lets you play either the standard mode, which has you battling in an assortment of different arenas, or the big time versus mode, which features the lengthy story and minigames from the original game. As in the original game, you can choose to play either of the other modes, which are about defeating the bosses from the original game, or you can challenge the game's AI. While the versus mode is very similar to the original game's single-player, it will feature the unique twist of letting you switch your characters at any time.

Control in Acid Nerve is similar to the original game, although it's a bit more convoluted. You'll have the same basic set of moves, such as punches and kicks, as well as your regular punches and kicks. You'll use the right and left triggers to punch and kick, respectively, and you'll be able to switch to your left and right triggers to block, use the jump button to catch your opponents off guard, and to perform an Irish whip motion to grab them. While you'll be doing this pretty much across the entire game, you'll also be able to take advantage of the moves found in the other modes by holding down the left trigger. Once you've used all of the moves and combinations that are available, you'll be able to perform them in any order you like. The different moves available will vary depending on the situation, and as you beat each level, you'll be able to unlock new moves for your characters.

The game's main gameplay is a basic fight between good versus evil. You'll face off against a multitude of foes in the single-player game, including enemies that you'll fight. The fighters will be able to switch between different styles by hitting the X button. The style meter is broken into three segments: normal, mummy, and vivre. Normal attacks can be used to block, throw, and jump. The mummy version of vivre allows you to dodge and fire the mummy's attacks at your foes. The vivre differs from vivre in that it takes a while to charge up before the meter is fully charged, and it will also act as a decoy. The mummy version of vivre will be able to use his powerful attacks for a longer period of time, and he can also use his skills to possess and confuse your enemies.

The mummy version of vivre features a number of moves that you'll be able to use to defeat your foes.

The mummy version of vivre features a number of attacks that you can use to your advantage. The mummy's attacks are mostly sword-based, but they can be charged to deal a lot of damage to you. The mummy version of vivre is his strongest attack, and it will perform a charge attack that deals a significant amount of damage to you, depending on the button combination of your character. In addition to these attacks, you can also perform various special attacks. The mummy version of vivre has a lightning strike that deals the least amount of damage to you, but it also deals the most damage to you, making it quite useful against slow-moving enemies.
