ALONE IN SPACE has finally nailed down the plot for the fantastic comic book adaptation, ALONE IN SPACE. The tale of a mysterious rocket ship is unfolding, so please keep your eyes peeled for our new trailer of ALONE IN SPACE.

It's set to star the very best scientists from space in an incredible, glowing sci-fi backdrop with a fully CGI version of the original sci-fi mythos. Writer Dan Abnett has written the original ALONE story, and the man who wrote all the groundbreaking novel's final chapters is now a producer and regular writer on the new series. Abnett, who previously wrote for Pixar’s Oscar-winning movies Aladdin and Moana, is penning the story and co-writing the screenplay alongside Aaron Guzikowski and Joaquim Dos Santos.

I'm looking forward to seeing the fun of ALONE IN SPACE as it's a blast to read. Look out for our first look at the sci-fi epic for 2021, and check out the first trailer.

The official synopsis for the new series reads: “The short film runs for a movie hour, and the audience watches as the alien enters a nearby space station, only to be sucked into its star system of adorable living creatures. On Earth, these aliens aren’t friendly, but they want to see us again, so they send them to a routine job and the alien escapes. A personal project to raise awareness of their surroundings and free their neighbors from the clutches of this burgeoning alien race.”

It's a clever idea to introduce "an outsider to a spaceship" in the film, and the fact that it was written and directed by Justin Roiland and Eddie Izzard that gives it a real impact on the way you view it. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the pair previously discussed how you could watch the film and see it for yourself and it is possible that the entire project could be available on Blu-ray and DVD now.

When asked about making a "first-person sci-fi movie" with a $30 million budget, the duo explained that they were hoping to bring the story of Aliens to life on disc. However, Trover said that there was a "direly different way" of going about it.

"There was a deeper political discussion," he explained. "There was a very different way of doing it. What we wanted to do was to bring the alien to life, and to do something more similar to what Alien is doing now. I'd like to do something a little different to play with some ideas about humanity and what would become of it in the future. I can't really say much more than that at this point, but if I do, I want people to know we're a co-production between the three studios."

The story of Aliens tells the story of Ripley and the crew of a Nostromo. The movie will also see Ripley and Newt get to use the space station as a vessel for the Xenomorphs, which arrives at the end of the film and acts as a gateway for the three protagonists to explore the alien planet. It's an intriguing story and well worth exploring.

The other major takeaway from the official Alien Twitter account is that Ripley and Newt will be facing off against an unknown foe who also happens to be a clone of the iconic character. We also learned that the character will be hunting for a new Xenomorph: "You may have seen some of the screenshots," producer James Spaihts said.

The Alien: Isolation video game launches this October for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. For lots more on the title, check out the stories below.
