Alchemist Penguin, the US-based studio that worked on Alchemist's Loddlenaut and Alchemist's Math, has announced that it has signed a three-year licensing deal with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to bring two more of its products to the US market. The first of these is an adventure game in which players assume the role of an educational magician and must solve various problems within the magical world.

"Alchemist Penguin offers an easy-to-play, browser-based experience that is easy to learn and the very kind of game it could have easily been," said Gary Whitta, vice president of product marketing for the USPTO, the National Institute of Standards and Information Technology. "This game has earned a great deal of attention in the US and should be one of the first games available to the US consumer."

Alchemist Penguin is scheduled for release in the second half of 2003.
