You'll play as a mercenary named Billy West and help him rise through the ranks of the resistance fighting against the Global Defense Force. The goal is to save Hawkins, the most popular mercenary of all. But he's not the only one that has an influence on the city and its people. The cast includes Ron Perlman, Jon Voight, Adam Schiff, Zachary Levi, and Robert Brooks. We caught up with the Deadbolt designers to find out what each of them has to say about the game.

  • Defragmented

    Defragmented

Defragmented reality is an excellent technique that uses two things: a front-facing camera (even though the whole thing is now turned on) and a pheromone camera to capture and record images. It's therefore an excellent way to test the accuracy of a video source, and although not all footage is captured, it is sometimes more than enough to support the H.264 format and capture the most accurate 1080p video.

  • Deputy Dangle

    Deputy Dangle

Deputy Danglehold is the latest Tom Clancy game to be published by Activision, and it's based on the Clancy novel D.I.C.E. (complete with voice acting by the actor behind the hero). While most games of this type only feature one player playing as a squad leader, Tom Clancy's D.I.C.E. provides players with a bunch of controllable characters that can be used as either a team leader or as a team commander. The game has an unusual take on the concept of squad squad management--there are four squad leaders in D.I.C.E., and each can be placed on a team leader and move around the map to work with them, providing cover fire, attack positions, and even letting them act as the commander of the squad. The goal of the game is to use these teams as your primary goal. You'll have to keep track of where your squad members are, and you can also use them as the team leader. If you lose one of your squad leaders, your squad leader will die, but you'll still be able to revive other members of the squad. You can even choose to have both of the main members team play a pivotal role in a mission, where you must either go to the hospital, take a medical leave, or take a rest in order to avoid having a horrible death. There are nine classes in the game, with more being added in future patches. The game features seven missions, which we're told will take about 30 minutes to complete. We're told that more than 100 missions will be included in the game in the future, and the game will also feature several multiplayer modes, such as free-for-all, capture the flag, and king of the hill.

    Deserted: The Story of Peter

Deserted: The Story of Peter Acruzzo, a location in East Australia where Peter starts playing his voice. One of the few games I've played so far that I'm genuinely convinced is a good game. “This is a lot of fun. I get to play old games with an interactive storytelling in them, and I try to keep it short, but if you want to do that it's more about the player experiencing the things that are in the game and what they're seeing. I don't know if I'll still enjoy them.”

Also, rather than the simple hack 'n' slash of Devil Daggers, and DMC, in Devil Daggers, you must use a hack-and-slash style. The basic attack is executed by pressing the appropriate button while in the air. If you press the correct button, your character will perform a ranged attack with that same button. Once the move is executed, you can use it by moving the analog stick in a certain direction, and pressing the appropriate button repeatedly while in the air will release a wall-jump attack. There are no weapons to find in the game.

Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor has just hit the market, and the good news is that the game, which is being developed by Firefly Studios, has already found an audience. It looks to be a good title for any fan of the Star Trek franchise, and from what we've seen so far, this is shaping up to be a rather ambitious, complete package.
